Chair Elegant Ezra is a so called crapaud chair from the first half of the 20th century. Elegant Ezra is adjusted to MOMIQ design. The front has been upholstered with a new fabric Shima from Designers Guild. A suzani fabric is used at the left- and right side of chair, as well as at the back of Elegant Ezra. Suzanis are embroidered pieces of cloth made in the region of Central Asia. They are an important part of a girl’s dowry and are also used for decorative purposes in Central Asian households. The suzani used for Elegant Ezra shows flower motives and other motives, such as the four wind directions or four seasons. Most people believe that the flower motives are symbols of fertility and prosperity.
