Chair Ikiz belongs to a set of two Victorian walnut nursing chairs with carved wood on the sides. At the end of the 17th century the introduction of walnut furniture started which had the advantage of being able to fit in with more modern homes. Walnut wood was popular in America and in the Victorian era. Chairs are among the most essential pieces of furniture, and not surprisingly the finest antique ones – usually those made in the 18th century or earlier – can be very valuable. This set has been adjusted by MOMIQ design and is as new. A total restoration of the chairs has been done, new fabric from Lee Jofa by Kelly Wreastler is used on the front and a unique Uzbek antique Suzani has been used on the back. The antique Suzani is in a mint condition.
