Chair Sweet Sami is a so called crapaud chair from the first half of the 20th century. Sweet Sami is adjusted to MOMIQ design. The front has been upholstered with a new fabric Papilio Plain from Osborne & Little. A suzani fabric is used at the left- and right side of chair, as well as at the back of Sweet Sami. Suzanis are embroidered pieces of cloth made in the region of Central Asia. They are an important part of a girl’s dowry and are also used for decorative purposes in Central Asian households.. The suzani used for Sweet Sami shows flower motives. Most people believe that the flower motives are symbols of fertility and prosperity.
