After the sober 1940s, there was a return to economic prosperity and optimism in the years thereafter. This was also seen in the development of furniture. Chair Aztek Asra is a good example of this period. It is a so called cocktail/club chair from the fifties/sixties. It is a small chair with a characteristic round back. This type of chair was used for drinking cocktails. Aztek Asra is upholstered with a new fabric Agra from Nobilis at the front. The back has been covered with a kilim bag that was used by nomads to transport e.g. oat and sand. The kilim is a good example of specialized and detailed embroidery in vibrant colours.
