chair mellow mohawk

Mellow Mohawk is an antique nursing chair. This type of chair was used during the Restauration period in France around 1825. During this time inlays became more common as well as smaller and black painted furniture. Mellow Mohawk is a good example of such chair. It has black legs on wheels with copper details and inlays. The frontside of the chair has been upholstered with a kelim fabric in a variety of colors. The kelim has geometric patterns. The back has been covered with a new light green velvet fabric called Varese from Designers Guild. A bright pink band is used for finishing up the chair.
